Bible Verse of the Day, Monday 10th March 2025

Bible Verse (Hebrews 11:24–26)
“By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.”

Opening Prayer:
Heavenly Father, We come before You with hearts open to receive Your Word. Thank You for the gift of faith and the example of Moses, who chose to follow You despite the cost. Help us to understand the value of eternal treasures over temporary pleasures. Strengthen us to make choices that honor You, even when it’s difficult. May our hearts be set on the reward You promise, and may Your Spirit guide us as we learn. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Focus Message: “Choosing Faith Over Fleeting Pleasures”
Moses’ life teaches us the power of faith-filled decisions. He gave up earthly privilege to align himself with God’s people and purpose. True faith leads us to prioritize eternal rewards over temporary satisfaction, reminding us that living for Christ is worth any sacrifice.

Lessons:
1. Faith Requires Sacrifice: Moses willingly gave up status, comfort, and wealth to pursue God’s calling. Faith often means letting go of worldly security to embrace divine purpose.

2. The Fleeting Nature of Sin: The pleasures of sin are temporary and ultimately unsatisfying. Moses recognized that suffering for God’s kingdom had eternal value, while Egypt’s riches would fade.

3. Eternal Perspective Fuels Courage: Moses endured mistreatment because he looked ahead to the reward. When our eyes are fixed on eternity, we can persevere through trials, knowing God’s promises are sure.

4. Identifying with Christ: Even before Jesus’ earthly ministry, Moses’ choice to suffer with God’s people foreshadowed Christ’s sacrifice. Following Jesus often means embracing difficulty, but His presence sustains us.

Bible References:
Matthew 6:19–21 — Store up treasures in heaven, not on earth.
Romans 8:18 — Present sufferings are not worth comparing to future glory.
Philippians 3:7–8 — Counting everything as loss for the sake of Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:17–18 — Light and momentary troubles produce eternal glory.
Luke 9:23–24 — Take up your cross and follow Jesus.

Closing Prayer:
Father God, Thank You for showing us the faith of Moses, who chose You over the fleeting pleasures of this world. Give us the courage to make choices that reflect our faith in Your promises. When trials come, remind us of the eternal reward You have prepared. Help us fix our eyes on Jesus, who endured the cross for our salvation. May our lives glorify You, and may our faith inspire others to seek You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
